Antique Carved Wooden Angel Folk Art Sculpture Carving
This is a fragment of a work of fine art, a Folk Art Carved Angel or Cherub. The Angel is very old at least 18th century and is in aged condition but retains a beauty that is difficult to describe. It is possible that she was part of a larger sculpture or architectural piece. There are traces of a white paint or possibly a gesso covering. We found her in an obscure location that really does not help with her story. The Angel is floating on an iron Folk Art Stand we had made just for her.
