Chainsaw Carved Wood Bear Wood Carving Sculpture Art Rustic Handmade Decor
This bear was carved with a chainsaw from a scotch pine log. It has been sealed with spar urethane and can be kept indoors or outdoors. It stands roughly 26.5 inches tall including the base and is roughly 11 inches wide. The cut you see in the back of the carving is intentional. It is a relief cut that is there to help reduce the amount of cracking in the sculpture. This carving will still crack and check as it ages. There is no way to stop this from happening. All wood carvings develop cracks as they age. It is just the nature of wood. Please understand this before purchasing. In order to help reduce cracking I recommend keeping the carving out of direct sunlight. Uv light and heat are very hard on wood carvings.
