Here’s an exceptionally gracious and wonderful sideboard, hand made in olde England by master craftsmen of a bygone era. There are 5 lovely beveled mirrors, set in beautifully detailed walnut woodwork. There are 9 carved panels, featuring a floral motif. See the detail photos. The drawer sides and bottoms are solid mahogany with lovely hand dovetailed joinery, see photos. The countertop has been refinished and has lovely light walnut graining. The antiqued brass hardware is exquisite, see the decorative hinges? The center pair of doors are locking, the left door has a hidden slide bolt, the right door has a tiny skeleton keyed lock. The cellarette, the inner liquor drawer on the right side, is tin lined, with dividers, and in excellent original condition. This was the centerpiece of some well-to-do estate’s dining room.
