F ourth G eneration A ntiques. A rare original carving by master American woodcarver Emil Janel. The subject is a woman washing laundry and the details are amazing, from her rough expression to the smooth ripples of the water. The sculpture stands 11″ tall and is 6-5/8″ x 6 at the base. We suppose this is most likely Alder wood, as Janel famously took to it once he moved to San Francisco. It is very light, weighing just under 2lbs. The condition is very good with minor signs of age.
