Beguiling antique pair of Burmese (Myanmar) Nat spirit guardian/dancer figures from the Mandalay period (late 19th/early 20th century). Hand-carved from dark patinated teak hardwood, depicting a male and female in dynamic ritual poses with raised arms, flowing robes, and intricate feather-like detailing. 11 tall each on simple integral bases-perfect symmetry for collectors of Southeast Asian folk art. These guardian spirits (Nats) were common in temples or households for protection and performance rituals. Goodaged condition with natural wear and rich patina; no major repairs, one possible piece of noticeable damage to crown of one head per photos. #BurmeseNat #AntiqueWoodCarving #MyanmarFolkArt #MandalayCarving #SpiritGuardian.
