Horse Head Wood Sculptures County Rustic Folk Art Cypress Chainsaw Carving
This guy is made from Cypress finished with Helmsman outdoor Spar Urethane. Wood found in the deep east Texas woods. I carve using rotary tool, grinding tools, chainsaw, and then give it a nice sanding then a finish. A BIT OF CHECKING / CRACKING IS THE NATURE OF CHAINSAW CARVINGS. TO KEEP CRACKS TO A MINIMUM PLACE YOUR CARVING AWAY FROM EXCESSIVE HEAT OR SUN. AN IDEAL PLACE FOR A WOOD CARVING IS OUTDOORS UNDER AN OVERHANG OR IN SHADE.
