SIGNED LUCIANA MASINA 1998. Beautiful decorative scrimshaw-style tusk mounted on a naturalistic wooden base. Expertly hand-engraved and hand-colored by Luciana Masina. (signed and dated 1998). Shows two rhinoceroses grazing among acacia trees – a classic African wildlife motif rendered with precision and warmth. Crafted in the traditional scrimshaw technique using a composite imitation ivory material – no ivory content. Vivid detail, natural shading, and warm tones give this piece strong visual impact and character. 6″ W × 2.75″ H × 2 D. Artist: Luciana Masina. Year: 1998. Origin: South Africa. Material: Faux ivory composite & wood base. Condition: Good vintage condition with light surface wear and natural patina.
