Vintage Carved Teak Wood’Couple in Love’ Sculpture by Ecuadorian Master Carver Luis Potosi in 1990. Pre-Owned and in clean, good condition. All measurements are in the photos. 1937 is a master woodcarver from San Antonio de Ibarra, Ecuador-an Andean town famed for its wood-carving tradition. Potosí’s work ranges from lyrical abstracts to figurative themes rooted in Andean life, carved from dense hardwoods (often teak) and finished with smooth, hand-tooled surfaces. His sculptures circulate internationally and are frequently labeled or signed Luis Potosi, Escultor Técnico, San Antonio de Ibarra, Ecuador.
