Chainsaw Carved Welcome Bear Wood Carving Bears Sculpture Statue Rustic Home
This bear was carved from a white pine log using a chainsaw and powertools. The dimensions are roughly: 29″ tall, 11″ wide, 8 thick. The sign is 16.5″ wide x 5.5″ tall. The sign is removable, as can be seen in the photos. The carving has been sealed with a flat oil based spar urethane. It can be kept indoors or outdoors, but if kept outdoors, I highly recommend keeping it in a cool shaded location, like under a covered porch. Do not place the carving in direct sunlight as the excessive heat and harsh uv lights are very hard on wood carvings. Wood has a tendency to crack as it ages. Cracking is a natural and common occurrence in wood. With this being said, the carving may develop cracks as it ages.
