MCM wood carving sculpture
Offered here is an interesting MCM hand-carved wooden bust of either a robot or some kind of alien being. Although it preceded the film by decades, this piece closely resembles the robot “Gort” in the remake of the classic film “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, with Keanu Reeves. This unsigned original carving is 16″ tall, 7.5″ wide, 3.5 deep and weighs 2 lbs. Beautifully carved, contoured and stained in two shades of brown. In the beautiful condition shown with no damage or imperfection that I can find as shown in the photos.
