The sculpture is very impressionistic in a Art Deco Style, with elongated torso and limbs. It has an impressive amount of details! Made in the village of Mas in Bali, Indonesia, this piece is unique and striking in its beauty! It was hand-carved by the highly-respected master-craftsman, WJ Kuwuc, from the village of Mas, world-renown for its incredible wood-carving masterpieces. See the esteemed artist’s carved signature in the photo depicting the bottom of the sculpture. The artist carver uses the wood to express his adoration for the female form and opens a dialogue with his audience. This figural sculpture is elaborately hand-carved out of a solid dense piece of wood. The female figure is very detailed and the statuette is quite heavy with a nice dark highly polished finish.
