This is a gigantic antique hand carved and painted wooden Stations of the Cross wall sculpture from a French church. It measures a very large 43.70 inches (111 cm) tall by 19;68 inches (49,5 cm) wide by 4 inches thick. The piece is completely carved by a hand with very dimensional detailing. It is also painted by hand with vibrant color and gold gilt oras which is still very present and in good condition. The station is of Jesus being taken down from the cross. There is a hand carved scroll on the bottom which is also hand lettered “Jesus is Taken Down From The Cross”. The piece is beautifully framed with nice detailing. It’s a very heavy large piece and displays great. In nice condition with normal ware from age.
