Rare Antique Hand Carved Indian Mahogany Chinese Daybed, Opium / Wedding Bed
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. PRICE IS PROVISIONAL AND NOT FINAL. This is an Antique Chinese daybed / wedding bed / opium bed made entirely out of solid Indian Mahogany Wood. The entire bed was intricately carved and assembled by hand without the use of any screws or nails. The entire bed can be disassembled into many smaller/manageable pieces. There is no instruction manual but for the most part its pretty straight forward. The entire bed completed in its entirety is not pictured. However, the final step in the assembly process is the crowning of the bed with the 3 framed drawings I included in the photos. The 3 paintings would sit on the top of the bed on the very front. We are in the middle of restoring/renovating the bed and the paintings inside the frame are very fragile/delicate so we have chosen not to move them unless completely necessary. These antique beds have and will continue to hold great value; easily fetching 5 figure appraisals, especially one in this condition. Please do your research. The pictures provided are of the bed currently being renovated, cleaned, prepped, restored. So the final product will be posted in the near future. The price is a starting point and is not final.
