Magnificent & Unusual Folk Art Wood Sculpture of Deer Head With Real Antlers

A truly unique piece of Folk Art wood sculpture of deer head with real antlers. We think this is from the early to mid 20th century, done by an artist who transcended realty to give us this fairytale like version of a deer. Its initial harsh impression quickly fades away to reveal a gentleness and animal soul that is still present. It’s carved and painted in a light charcoal color, with green eyes and red tongue, and those we believe are real antlers added. The whole thing is magnificent and to make a great conversation piece. Circa: Early – Mid 20th Century. Dimensions: 11″ W x 16″ D x 13 H.
