This is a vintage signed 1976 wood carving by Bill Youngs from one piece of wood. From California by way of Kentucky. I believe it to be avocado wood. He was a prolific realistic bird and sea life carver. He owned a wood carving gallery in Cambria California in the 1970s and 80s. This was the only carving he did in this style in his life. The gunslinger won best of show blue ribbon awards in California carving shows. He willed this carving to me when he passed away in 2007. Thank you for your interest.
