Each of my works is individually hand carved, painted and completed as much as possible from wood, including the habitats. Most of my work includes fish of the Missouri Ozarks, Drawing from a lifetime of fishing, my taxidermy work (specializing in fish mounts), and relying on references materials, I strive for as realistic and correct presentation of each piece as is possible. Herberger knew architecture firsthand, having worked under Wright in 1958 at Taliesin West in Scottsdale and helping him with New York Citys Guggenheim Museum. When Wright died in 1959, Herberger traveled to Kansas to finish the famed architects buildings at Wichita State University. Herberger later served as chairman of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
