PHOTOS OF ACTUAL ITEM. Trout is full sized at 15 inches long. There has never been a more beautiful rainbow trout by Bill Reel than this one, Period! Deep yet vibrant colors in great detail and patina. The oversized heavy duty burl base is simply a looker just by itself and I have never seen a nicer burl base either. I would pay a fortune for it if I need a base to mount a carving. One of the pelvic fins was broken off and missing. All other parts in perfect new condition. It does not show when displayed as it should be (as in the first photo). I believe the fin came off in or right after it left the shop due to the position of the wood grub screw, setting the fish too close to the top of the base. This did happen to some of the big sky trout carvings I have seen and this does not mean that the item was defective or inappropriately handled. It takes nothing away from how good this piece really is. NO PO BOX PLEASE! Up for sale here we have a Spectacular William Bill Kuhnley TOTEM POLE WOOD CARVING SCULPTURE. Bill Kuhnley is a member of the Ditidaht Tribe of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nation. He is considered to be a Native First Nations Master Carver Artist. Kuhnley is a very talented artist to say the least. He studied under and had an apprenticeship under Robert Davidson. This piece here is one of his earlier works from what we understand. We found this awesome Totem at a very nice estate where it was proudly displayed behind glass protection. You can find a lot of great information on the artist with a simple internet search. The Totem stands just under 17 tall including the base. The base measures 5″wide x 6.5″deep. The wings span 12 wide. The totem is in excellent condition with minor marks. It shows just a little age and dust from display. We haven’t done any kind of cleaning on the totem whatsoever. William Accorsi is the author of 10 Button Book and 10 Color Book. He is a folk artist who creates sculptures of animals and people out of wire, beads, and buttons. His work hangs in major galleries and collections throughout the USA, and he is the only artist to have been awarded two solo exhibitions at New Yorks Museum of Arts and Design. Accorsi lives in Beacon, New York. The Art of William Accorsi film presents the life and art of William Accorsi. Accorsi has exhibited his outsider art in dozens of museums in the United States and abroad. In addition to his sculptures, paintings and drawings he is also an award winning author/illustrator of ten books including “Apple, Apple, Alligator, ” “10 Button Book, ” and “10 Color Book” all by Workman Publishing, New York. The film documents Accorsi at work in his studio as he reflects on a lifetime of art making. These two sculptures are titled “Not Kissing Cousins” and are dated 1990 by William Accorsi which are both signed on the bottom of the wood carvings. The man is 11.5″ tall x 4″ wide while the woman is 10″ tall x 6″ side. Please note there is a very tiny amount of paint loss on the base edge of the man statue. It is about 1/16 and could be covered with the correct color. Best offer is available but these are highly sought after and rare. I will be on vacation from November 12 through the 20th.
