This 1984 wood carving (Santos de Palo) of the Three Wise Men was made by Pedro Martinez. It’s in excellent condition, no chipping, cracks, peeling or warping. The base may be made of Cedar wood (See photos), is very solid and quite heavy for its size. The Three Kings may also be carved out of cedar. Measurements: Each figure measures 10 7/8 inches High without the base and is 3 3/8 in Wide. With the base, each figure is 12 1/2 inches High. The wooden base measures 12 1/4 inches Wide, 5 inches Deep and 1 1/2 inches High. Artesano Pedro Martinez signed his name and wrote the date on the the base (See photos). Little is known of Martinez except that he is Puerto Rican.
