Beautiful hand-carved wooden sculpture of a kneeling female figure holding a pot/vessel. This striking piece features an elongated neck, pointed breasts, large ears, and a highly distinctive elaborate hairstyle with a large open circular element at the back. The figure kneels on a circular base decorated with geometric (chevron/herringbone) carving and holds a small decorated pot against her body with both hands. Carved from solid wood with a dark finish that shows natural wear and character. The surface has areas of lighter wood where the finish has worn over time, giving it a nice aged look.
