This piece is signed T. MAKORE near the bottom edge as pictured. This sculpture measures about 8 inches in height and about 3 1/2 inches in width across the middle. There is some minor chipping on the upper right edge which does not affect the overall appearance of the piece. The wood base measures 3 x 6 inches and 1/2 inch in thickness. This item and was found at an estate sale and carries no COA. This sculpture is not attached to the base, but the base is included in this sale.

Strikingly angular yet sinuously suggestive, this depiction of a Pueblo Man was created by master carver Ralph Suazo, Taos Pueblo, at the height of his powers. With his slightly open mouth and closed eyes, the figure, carved in pine, seems to be in the midst of a song of meditation. The skull seems to have been carved from alabaster. Signed on the bottom. Carving made from Cedar wood found in the deep east Texas woods. I carve using rotary tool, grinding tools, chainsaw, and then give it a nice sanding then finish it of with at least 3 coats of Helmsman Indoor/Outdoor Spar Urethane.
