Just out of a local smoke free house is this vintage or antique folk art carved wood American Eagle. It has a carving reminiscent of the early carved pilot house eagles or carved eagles of the Federal period. This later carved eagle has a wing span of 21 inches, measures about 17 1/2 inches high, and about 18 inches long. It is in very good condition with some wear to the finish, mostly on the head, and what looks like a repair to a wing tip. See photos as they are part of the description. Would make a nice addition to any collection and is guaranteed as described.

Vintage oversized Bellamy style primitive hand carving of a very large and very heavy eagle wall hanger. This beautiful carving is in very good condition and beautiful patina. The eagle is holding in it’s talons grain or wheat and shield on his breast in lieu of feathers. The eagle appears to be carved from a single piece of walnut or other hard wood with one wing being longer than the other. The left wing appears to have a piece of wood inserted perhaps due to the wood piece selected for the carving. The back shows one piece of wood the appears to be cut with a chainsaw. The eagle measures 29″ wing span, 18 3/4″tall and 4 deep. Weighs just under 15pounds. It has very heavy duty wall hanging hook. Will be packaged very carefully.
