Here’s an exceptionally gracious and wonderful sideboard, hand made in olde England by master craftsmen of a bygone era. There are 5 lovely beveled mirrors, set in beautifully detailed walnut woodwork. There are 9 carved panels, featuring a floral motif. See the detail photos. The drawer sides and bottoms are solid mahogany with lovely hand dovetailed joinery, see photos. The countertop has been refinished and has lovely light walnut graining. The antiqued brass hardware is exquisite, see the decorative hinges? The center pair of doors are locking, the left door has a hidden slide bolt, the right door has a tiny skeleton keyed lock. The cellarette, the inner liquor drawer on the right side, is tin lined, with dividers, and in excellent original condition. This was the centerpiece of some well-to-do estate’s dining room. This sturdy and solid cabinet has adjustable glass shelves on top and brass handles on the doors. Each carved was hand made with long life symbols on them and the handles on the drawers has carved finger pull on. The rich brown colour will add warmth and style to your room. The top part can be separated making it easy for transportation. There is a small mark on the top of the sideboard and a stain inside the bookcase but nothing major to point out and also the lights works perfectly. Please have a closer look at the pictures because they form part of the description. Antique and vintage/used items will show signs of wear which form part of their character. All our items are cleaned thoroughly, then a coat of wax is applied to revive the leather/wood and finally hand polished. Brass, swan neck drawer handles. Gargoyles are carved in high-relief. An extra large center cabinet coupled with a single drawer add even more storage space.
