An outstanding Chinese Antique small Scholars table stand. The huanghuali wood with floating rectangular top. With a carved scroll frieze and scroll carved brackets. Raised on short foliate carved feet. The wood with its original beautiful rich red brown patina. With one’ ghost face’ image to side of table. Size; 6 inches high (15 cm). 10 inches wide (25.5 cm). 1/2 inches long (39.5 cm). Weight; 2.15 Kg. Condition; Superb, unbleached by the sun, a few small scuffs. And marks, a few small shrinkage lines to pierced decoration. No other damage or repairs. Circa; 19th Century, Qing. Please see photo for a table of the same design. Please see my other listings. Fine Antique Chinese Buddha Wood Carving. For sale is a museum-quality, 12.5 antique Chinese wooden carving of a standing happy Buddha. The carving has stunning craftsmanship and design. Very rare quality, this piece shows a masterfully carved face, robe, and spirit. The sack at the left hand holds a very inconspicuous squirrel with the body showing and the tail peeking out from a fold in the sack. Even the fingernails and toenails are carved meticulously. His face is such that you can see the once child Buddha even in years past. There are a few age cracks that have old restorations with carved inserted wood pieces. The right side robe sleeve has a repair (could easily be made more unnoticeable). A lot of age, and finding pieces of this quality is a rare opportunity. All of my items are guaranteed authentic.
