He’s in a neoclassical style, probably Venetian. The wood surface is gessoed and painted in off while and gold. As for its age- it is my guess that its early 19th century, but it could be earlier. His Rubenesque hands and feet are very well done. Pictures were taken with and without flash so a slight color variation is possible. Dimensions: About 17 t x 7 wide x 8 d. The wood sculpture is about 24 tall. Condition; Good with the following flows: much wear & losses to the gesso and gilt finish. Cracks and other imperfections especially to his left leg. Up for consideration is Vintage pair of Italian Signed Palladio Carved Wooden Cherubs or Putti.
