Here’s a new member to my cryptid creations… The “Honey Island Swamp Monster” of Louisiana, also known as the Cajun Sasquatch. It is an ape or humanoid-like cryptid creature, often described as a 8 foot Humanoid/Bigfoot with huge glowing eyes and usually covered almost entirely with moss and fungus. Purported to inhabit the Honey Island Swamp in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, It has become a part of Louisiana folklore. Here’s my hand carved 12″tall figure of that BIGFOOT of Missouri, the ” MOMO ” The Missouri Monster “- also called ” Melon Head ” because his huge head and reported to have very long hair and piercing red eyes, is also believed to be similar to the ” DEWEY LAKE MONSTER” of Michigan. This flying Blob Alien is an original wood carving. It was brought to life, from a piece of ponderosa pine, with a chainsaw and various carving and grinding tools. It was then embellished with floral wire, fabric, and paint to give it the charm and character you see before you. Dimensions are approximately 10.5 x 5 x 5.5 inches (10.5 measurement was taken from base to top of antenna) measurements do not include arms and wings. Note: Small cracks and checks may be visible throughout the entirety of the piece. This is the nature of the medium and, in my opinion, it adds a unique charm and character to each carving.
