Hand carved by Master Carver Wayan Mesin from a solid chunk of crocodile wood, the wood has a beautiful clear grain, part of the nubby bark from which the wood gets it’s name is left on the carving. It is also a very dense wood with a clear tight grain. This carving is very finely carved with an amazing amount and attention to detail. The wood is left the natural color and has been hand waxed to bring out the color and grain of this gorgeous wood. Please review photos I have included above. This is a beautifully hand carved The Divine Mercy Jesus Christ” sculpture. It is made out of a solid piece of cedar wood. It has amazing details that really make this piece one of a kind. This was expertly crafted in such a way that the movement of the cloth looks very real. It has a beautiful natural wooden color. The eyes are made out of glass and painted. To insert the eyes the head is cut in half, so you will see a line where the wood meets (see pictures). The hands are also removable. The rays (made out of wood) is covered in gold leaf and painted over. This is a high quality masterpiece that would improve any room or collection.
