WWII Paramarine Ready Room Wall Carving. Carving is in good used shape. Was carved by a Paramarine during WWII and this hung in their ready room. I was told either ready or dive room I forget which, but was the room where they prepped. Not sure of wood type. Wish he had signed it. Great one-of-a-kind WWII handmade collectible. Have been hand carved on the Island of Bali from gray hibiscus wood, & polished to a smooth finish. The base is formed from the china-berry branch, which creates the beautiful shape. Each hand carved whale mounted onto the chinaberry base. Each carving is unique and each one will have a different mushroom formation, this is not a flaw, but a reflection of the natural and handcrafted origins of this unique product. You may arrange the whales in anyway you prefer! Sizes and shape of the base will vary slightly due to the natural shape of the wood so the size given is approximite. Base is about 6″ X 8″ x 8 (size will vary). About 5 tall (size will vary).
