No nails, no screws. I only used wooden dowels and “bowties”. I thoroughly enjoy looking at anything crafted by wooden metal by someone who puts their heart and soul into it. George Nakashima, I saw some of his stuff in written pages and on television shows. I always admired the bowties that he uses so I adapted his style. That pretty much is the only thing holding the two tops of this table together are the two bowties. The more weight placed on the table the stronger the table becomes. It is made entirely out of black walnut. All of this was in a burn pile. It was going to be burned. It is stained with homemade natural, black, walnut wood stain. It has three coats of polyurethane.

Wonderful cocktail table or a breakfast table. This could be a display table that fits perfectly in a 90° corner. This could be placed in the center of a dining room kitchen, sitting room or a serving room with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres or to display one of my sculptures lol. I’m not really lol and I don’t laugh. I really don’t want to sell this because my son NOAH wants to keep it. He loves wood as I love wood, so you’re gonna need to pry this from my hands make me a very good offer, please.

Oval piece of pinewood plucked out of the Ohio river as is. I allowed it to dry and cure for approximately one year and then I scraped off only what could be easily scraped off and then what is remaining is what you see. It is stained with homemade natural, black walnut stain With three coats of polyurethane. Half inch hole drilled in the bottom 12 inch piece of copper pipe installed the base is made out of a piece of floor joist from a house that was built in 1889 in Steubenville, Ohio. Beautiful piece family owned for two years.
