The works are apparently unsigned but easily attributed to Livio de Marchi, Italian artist known for carved wood sculptures with a playful pop sensibility. Attributed to Livio de Marchi. Age and wear, some paint loss and damage to tips. Two are 46, ” one 41 1/2″. Livio De Marchi b. 1943 is an Italian sculptor also known as The Carpenter of Venice. Vintage Sarreid Ltd hand made solid wood and brass Ram sculpture. This has natural intended wood imperfections from the hand carving, as well as some general aging and display marks on the wood base. The sculpture measures 11″ tall x 14.5″ long, and the rectangular base measures 9.5″ long x 4″ wide. There is one crack running along the bottom middle of the stomach which should be visible in the last few closeup photos, which is due to the aging and drying of the solid wood sculpture over time. Hand Stained Wooden Carving of Climber Demetz Patick Italy. This has a sticker on the base that says “to my Love Juli”. Love you forever Your Father’ It is dated 1995. This is from an estate sale so we unfortunately we don’t know who the artist was. This is done in the style of Italian or ANRI. This stands a little over 11 inches tall. It is very well done and has been detailed with darker staining on some of the detailed items. Really a Great Piece. One of a kind. It weighs 1 Pound and 14 ounces. Check out the photos.

A Maiden and her Robes, Lovely Wooden Sculpture. Perhaps it was part of a religious group, or perhaps it was conceived as a standalone piece. In any case, it’s an affecting work from 18th century Europe. Dimensions, including the (later) stand, are about 8.75 inches high by 3 inches wide. The left hand is missing, as is the right foot. Condition is otherwise quite good all around, with an attractive, fresh appearance. There is a lot of pleasure to be had in contemplating this work.
