Description of item for sale. Carved head is from France and it dates to the mid 1900’s. It is made from solid oak and finished to a warm dark color. The figure is well carved and very expressive. Note that the backside has a hole for easy hanging. Overall it is in good condition with minor nicks and scratches consistent with its age. Dimensions : 11.5″ tall, 7.5″ wide and 6.5 deep. This nicely carved bed is from France and is in the French Rococo style of Louis XV. The bed is made from solid and veneered walnut with excellent hand carved details. The warm walnut coloring is outstanding and has a beautiful finish. This bed is in very good antique condition: there are minor nicks and scratches consistent with the bed’s age. Note that there are some cracks in the headboard and some missing pieces of trim on the rails (see photos). The rails are slightly bowed as well but still work fine. Dimensions: The headboard is 53.75″ tall, 78″ wide and 4 deep. The foot board is 57.75″ wide, 36.75″ tall and 3 deep. The original mattress opening is 75″ X 51″. Description of item for sale.
