This beauty was hand carved mahogany wood on dark stained and original shaped of one of the Maximus. Mayan Indian chief, or Ruler KUKULKAN or Quetzalcoatl with Guatemala Quetzal birds on bought sides. The quetzal birds and snake together was used only by Mayan Chief or ruler. Kukulkan as headdress or crown. The double symbolism use in its name is considered. Allegoric to dual nature of the deity, where being feathered represent its divine nature or ability. To fly to reach the skies and being a serpent represent its human nature or ability to creep on. Ground among other animals of the earth (deities lieder of sky and land). For the ancient men Mayas in (Central America & Mexicans). Authority and closed to God , as well as an integral part of Mayan society… This wonderful piece of art s a beautiful hanging or, too use, Great home décor or office.
