Vtg Balinese Carved Wood Sculpture Vishnu Riding Garuda Njana Tilem Gallery Bali. The item was recently picked up at high end estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself! Beautiful rendering of Vishnu Riding Garuda here. The piece dates to the last 25 to 30 years. Beautiful detailing and great selections of wood for their pieces at Njana Tilem Gallery. The sculpture is carved from one solid piece of wood, pretty amazing. Just a great patina and finish on the piece. Some condition issues to report to you here. There are a few of the wings with losses to the ends. One of the wings was glued back on, about an inch long piece. Three of the top back pieces appear to have come off and were reglued on at some time. The work was done pretty well. The wood sculpture is still a little dirty, could still use a good cleaning.. The maker’s mark is on the base of the piece. The Vintage Njana Tilem Wood Sculpture is 12-1/16″ tall, by 7″ across, by 6.5 wide. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
