Found in the Adirondack region of New York. This carving measures 13 1/2 tall and is nice and old. His hat may have had a feather or something. The rifle looks to added. Just a wonderful folkart character with lots of detail. I believe the photographs give an accurate read.

This one of a kind piece is a vintage hand carved wooden desk Caddy featuring two dogs peeking over the fence. Yes, it very old but this gives it so much character and charm! I tried to show how the nails are loosing from the Caddy to the carved part. It is still very functional but also just an amazing collector’s piece! It measures approximately as follows. Hand Carved Maple Leaf Bowl. This exceptionally rare Folkart piece is by Andre Dube, a celebrated artist from Quebec. His works are hard to come by, and he is best know for his carvings of Canadian wildlife. This item is an oversized Maple Leaf decorative bowl. Beautifully carved, it has its original finish, and is marked on the bottom with Dube’s signature. It is truly a one of a kind piece. Size: 17.75 inches long, 15.5 inches, 2.75 inch tall/deep.
