Incredible and beautiful piece of Art. Model Totem Pole, THUNDERBIRD, EAGLE and HAWKMAN above OCTOPUS. So very detailed carving by John Henry Hunt, a member of the Kwakiulth First Nation and famous world wide known Hunt-Family. He pays so much attention to details and clearly shows off his talent in this piece. Have a close look – the carving is truly highest quality. The eagle on top is spreading it’s wings, the painting is close to perfection. Just a wonderful piece of Indigenous Art – traditional, colorful, vibrant and powerful. Even the wings are not only painted, but carved in superb clean lines and depth. Signed at the back, the totem is mounted on a black wooden base. It is hand-carved by a non-native artisan, so if you are looking for an authentic piece, this is not it. This gorgeous mask is hand-carved out of wood. This wooden mask/ plaque approximately 18″ wide and approximately 14-1/2″ tall and approximately 3 deep. This mask is in very good condition. Presenting a stunning hand carved Canadian Indian wooden wall carving expertly hand crafted and signed by the Kwakiutl Northwest Coast First Nations artist, Herman Bee. This exceptionally fine relief carving depicts a Killer Whale totem rendered in a traditional manner. This piece has been finely hand carved and beautifully finished with superb detail and a lovely depth of carving. This exquisite piece has been exceptionally hand carved from one solid piece of beautifully grained timber which has developed a lovely mellow patina that only time can bring. This flat-backed piece is designed to be displayed as a wall hanging with a small strap of leather attached to the reverse side. Huge KOMOKWA MASK, Chief of the Sea with WHALE SCULPTURE and SEA URCHINS by artists Randy Stiglitz and Janice Morin. (signed by both, dated at the back). Canada – superb First Nations art from the Pacific Northwest! Both are married and members of the Coast Salish/Cree First Nations. They have many years of experience in this art and are just very skilful and talented artists who are well known around the world. This piece is so detailed and the expression is just mesmerizing! The eyes and the forehead are inlaid with abalone, the face is adorned with cedar rope, the mask itself is adorned with lots of cedar bark. The MASK AND the WHALE are inlaid with many pieces of Abalone (mother of pearl) – I’ll let the images speak for themselves… Measurements in total: 33″ tall, 20″ wide, 14 deep, that’s including the cedar bark. The whale on top is 13″ x 10″ x 7″, the face itself is 14″ x 11″ x 9″. Was born 1953 on. To a German mother and a Coast Salish father. Randy’s family moved to the Capilano Indian Reserve when he was 8 years old. Randy began carving at the age of 15. He credits Henry Hunt Sr. As being the single biggest influence in his unique carving style. Is the daughter of the Salish and Cree First Nations parents, originating from. She apprentice with master carver Oppie Oppenheim for a few years. Later, her work was influenced by her husband Randy Stiglitz, himself a very well known artist and master carver. What a beautiful piece!!! Authentic and OLD No. Rthwest Coast native Art! Check this out – what a beauty!! KILLER WHALE Totem Sculpture (3D). Carved all around, very powerful and rich expression, unusual but superb! Excellent masterpiece by late Haida Nation Artist Darrell LeBlanc – These are very hard to find these days. The Quality is truly amazing. So much detail and yet simple, elegant and just – beautiful – cedar wood. Sorry, it’s a little dusty on the pictures – but it’s in great condition. Measurements: 15″ x 5″ x 3 1/2 (39 x 13 x 9 cm). The Artist: Darrell LeBlanc was a member of the Haida Nation. He had over 30years experience of carving. His sophisticated style can be seen in his wood and argillite carvings. As a member of the Haida Nation, his interest in art began at a young age. Darrell was mostly noted for his traditional yellow cedar rattles, totem poles and talking sticks. He has also produced a series of limited edition prints and today his pieces are highly sought after. Darrel passed away in 2014. Another incredible piece of true Indigenous Art from the First Nations of the Pacific Northwest coast of Canada -direct from the Artist. Have a close look at the images of this piece – absolutely superb craftsmanship by First Nation Artist Doug (Bear) Horne. Heron with Frog spirit – 3D Sculpture. Beautiful yellow cedar, hand carved, polished, very clean lines, elegant expression, just a gorgeous piece of Indigenous Art. Measurements: 15″ x 6″ x 2 (38 x 15 x 5 cm). The Artist: Doug Horne is a member of the Coast Salish First Nation, originating from. He comes from the large and worldwide known LaFortune Family and trained with Doug and Perry Lafortune, as well as with his uncle, Francis Horne. He creates work with traditional Salish crests and motifs, but he is especially interested in experimenting with unconventional forms and unique symbols. Doug is primarily a wood carver at this stage in his young career but his pieces are already easy recognizable for his clean lines and elegant expression.
