This whimsical little demon is an original wood carving. It was brought to life from a piece of Ponderosa pine with a chainsaw and various carving and grinding tools. It was then embellished with floral wire, paint and fabric to give it the charm and character you see before you. Dimensions are approximately 10 x 5 x 5.25 inches. Each carving comes with an authenticity card, signed and dated by me. The relief cut in the rear of the piece is to prevent major cracks from forming on the front, and it is also where the authenticity card is stored. Balinese Rangda the Witch Sculpture, hand carved by Master Carver Dewa Ketut from a chunk of solid natural campaka wood (a wood on the magnolia family). This carving is very finely carved with an amazing amount and attention to detail. The wood has a frame of bark intact to frame the image of Rangda Dancing with her ferocious face and pendulous breast, holding a child, with a skull at her feet. This has been finely finished and hand waxed to bring out the natural color and clear grain of this gorgeous wood. Very heavy weighing in at 18 lbs. Please review photos I have included above.
