Vintage, Pacific Northwest “West Coast Portrait Mask” by Val Stickings-Duncan. The details, colors and addition of hair and palm are eerie and gorgeous. This was part of my uncle’s estate. Writing on back is translated from pencil to note paper. Has been in storage in a box for over a dozen years, since his passing. Once hung, the fibers should straighten out and hang down.

Incredible and beautiful piece of Art. Model Totem Pole, THUNDERBIRD, EAGLE and HAWKMAN above OCTOPUS. So very detailed carving by John Henry Hunt, a member of the Kwakiulth First Nation and famous world wide known Hunt-Family. He pays so much attention to details and clearly shows off his talent in this piece. Have a close look – the carving is truly highest quality. The eagle on top is spreading it’s wings, the painting is close to perfection. Just a wonderful piece of Indigenous Art – traditional, colorful, vibrant and powerful. Even the wings are not only painted, but carved in superb clean lines and depth. Signed at the back, the totem is mounted on a black wooden base.
