Wood Carved Painted Folk Art Sculpture. Circa Late 19th Century. A truly stunning piece of fold art sculpture that probably came from a circus wagon or other carnival item. Measuring 16″ x 6″ and 2 m /4 thick, this solid wood sculpture features a caped warrior on horseback slaying a large serpent as winged figures observe on either side and a religious figure gives prayer to the warriors right. Most likely this piece came from a circus wagon or other carnival related item. The sculpture was part of some larger piece connected together at the top and bottom.
