This unique wood carving features a female figure with many children around her, including cherub and cupid-like figures. Measuring 18 inches in height and about 13.5 inches wide. One-of-a-kind high relief wood carving / sculpture is handcrafted. The wall hanging piece is made of wood stained fairly dark and features intricate details, especially on the body and faces of the figures, making it a perfect addition to any art collection. Although the sculpture does not come with a certificate of authenticity, I believe this to be a genuine handmade piece. Add this stunning piece to your collection today! This piece is not obviously signed, as is, but there could possibly be a signature behind the main carving, which is not accessible due to it’s being screwed to at “backer” board. There is some fabric between the two pieces of wood, which may have, at some point, been wrapped around the outer board, as there also seems to be some adhesive residue on the back of it. This is an amazing “Chinese Carved Wood Sculpture of a Fisherman & his Two Children”… It’s in “Excellent Condition”.. And he has his two children at his feet… There is a small crack on his back from age (see picture 6) and a hairline crack. On the tassle hanging down in front (see picture 12)… This in no way detracts from the incredible beauty of this piece.. Measurements are 29″ high x 8″ wide (at widest point) x 7 deep..
