This very unique antique, hand-made carved wood model tank is a piece of Folk Art that will make a great addition to any collection. The intricate details of this large tank will impress any enthusiast of military memorabilia. Made from high-quality wood, with aged patina, this tank is in good condition for it’s age. The perpetual calendar begins at January 1, 1945 through December 31, 1952. Dates are still clear with exceptions of some of the numbers of the month: 9, 12, 13, 14, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 & 29 but could be restored if you so choose. Dimensions are: Base measures 12 1/4″ long X 8 1/4″ wide. Height is 7 1/2.

This is a full 3d relief carving of the famous Aztec Calendar or Sunstone – one of our most complicated carvings so far. It is done in plywood, colored with stains, and finished with transparent varnish. Thickens: 27 to 40 mm plywood/beech wood. COLOR AND SIZE VARIATIONS ARE AVAILABLE. (please contact me for details). The Aztec sun stone (Spanish: Piedra del Sol) is a late post-classic Mexica sculpture housed in the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City and is perhaps the most famous work of Aztec sculpture. Shortly after the Spanish conquest, the monolithic sculpture was buried in the Zócalo, the main square of Mexico City. It was rediscovered on 17 December 1790 during repairs on the Mexico City Cathedral. Following its rediscovery, the sunstone was mounted on an exterior wall of the cathedral, where it remained until 1885. Early scholars initially thought that the stone was carved in the 1470s, though modern research suggests that it was carved sometime between 1502 and 1521.
