19TH CENTURY PAINTING / SCULPTURE. Approximately 13 ” By 4 ” CIRCA 1825 – 1850. This is one of those indescribable treasures that artists have left for posterity. Here, a piece of branch has been carved and sculpted by hand and then painted. The skill level is off the charts and the level of detail captured into the smallest space is truly remarkable! With this work the artist has kept the past alive. We can see the harbor and boats as they were almost two hundred years ago – simple craft with barely more than a sail and no motors or even steam vessels in sight! The tree is sculpted in relief and the artist was able to capture whole figures in the size of the head of a pin! The work is restful to look at. One senses this work was the patient joy of the artist, and this joy and appreciation of the moment and scenery has been captured forever! Two tiny holes to the wood where the work was probably hung well over a century ago. The signature uses old English script in use in the 18th and 19th centuries and we place an approximate date of the piece to 1825. This type of work is incredibly rare, most paintings of this kind and vintage simply haven’t made it to the 21st century. A marvelous acquisition for a fine art collector to display proudly! A Glorious 19th Century Treasure!

When the fury of a hurricane envelops the IRL’s 156 miles of shoreline, mangrove roots and limbs from a year to a century old, are now placed by nature in odd places such as millions of pounds of granite boulders protecting our roadways from erosion. There they sit for months or years being tossed about by waves created by winds or boat wakes. Joining these roots and limbs, are thousands of man-altered lumber from the tens of thousands of docks and decks who were also set free during hurricane force winds. 1993 GEORGE BEACH NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN BOY AND EAGLE WOOD CARVING SCULPTURE SIGNED WITH COA. This is an original wood carving titled Eagle Boy by the award winning Native American artist George Beach, carved/sculpted in 1993! This sculpture has been well cared for over the years. It is 29 ½ inches high, 18 inches wide and 18 inches deep. The removable wood base is signed on the bottom G Beach 93 and measures 3 ½ inches high, 9 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It pains me to sell this, but due to financial reasons, I must sell it and I will be happy knowing it will go to someone who also appreciates beautiful carvings by George Beach. I have lowered the price multiple times, but this is the absolute least I can sell this incredible hand carved sculpture for. George Beach who is well known for his unique wood carvings, a member of the National Wood Carvers Association and a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. I do know that he felt he would be unable to carve his sculptures due to the inability to control movement on his left side, but I dont know if his condition improved or if he is still making carvings like this incredible Eagle Boy carving today. I hope he is alive, well and still able to carve his incredible sculptures. I will answer all questions to the best of my knowledge. Comes from a CLEAN and SMOKE FREE home!
