Physical Graffiti is the sixth studio album by rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released as a double album on 24 February 1975. This is my second attempt at bringing this album cover to life. This album cover, designed by. Peter Corriston, is of. 96 and 98 East 8th Street / St. Mark’s Place (Manhattan). Drawn and carved by hand into wood. Actylic paint was used to paint the album and wood stain for the wood frame. The fire escapes, windows and the different face carvings were also made by hand. I wanted to also capture the sidewalk with garbage cans so the body is around 3 inches deep. Little LED lighting is worked in so the street is illuminated when turned on.
