The bears are made of carved ironwood from the Southwest and the style is so minimalist and timeless, as to also fall into the Danish Modern/MCM Mid Century category of design. The grain of the wood is stunning and the substantial weight of each bear is surprising given the size, but I imagine that it’s the reason it was dubbed “Ironwood”.
