After that, there is burning of the wood to get shading just right, followed by more sanding. From there, multiple coats of spar urethane is applied over a few days… This is the process with all our carvings. Each soaring eagle is a bit different but alike. We Do Custom create each one This eagle is created from Missouri hardwoods. Each eagle is custom-made out of white oak. There will be some differences in every carving, but basically all the same.
