Tom Taber Rare River Otter Carving Wood Sculpture Art Signed 15 River Gamblor

Stunning and ultra rare River Otter carving by Tom Taber. Ive seen alot of his waterfowl carvings but never an otter in person until this one. From an estate collection in Hayward Wisconsin. Absolutely gorgeous with minor wear. All metal whiskers are present. A bit of paint loss on a couple. Small indentations on its back shown in image #9. This is a signed piece that also has an etched metal plate. The piece has been entitled “River Gamblor” and has Tom Tabers name on the etched plate. Fantastic flow to the entire piece along with a wonderfully expressive face that features glass eyes. It you’re a Tom Taber collector, these pieces rarely come up for sale. It does need a light cleaning. I’ve left this in the exact condition found. Clean, polish or leave as is. That will be up to the buyers personal preference.
