Signed GLM Vintage Great Blue Heron Wood Carving Painted Sculpture Cattail Bird
This sculpture is very lifelike, showing a great blue heron standing on a log amongst the cattails. It weighs 2 lbs. The bird itself is 9.5 tall, standing on a 7.5 wide wood base. The sculpture overall is 14 tall in the photo, but if you rotated the one cattail thats way outside then it would be 15 tall. The other cattails are firmly in place, but that one is loose and rotated. The birds body/head is carved from wood, with two feathers added behind the eyes, and the legs/feet are also added. The wood piece the heron is standing on is broken off in the back, but I cant say whether thats from damage or if it was always like that. The heron has a scuff at the tip of the beak that could be painted over. Its hard to see because the reeds are in the way, but at the end of the tail there is a small missing paint spot. Theres also a couple of green paint drops under one of the herons feet, and minor scratches on the wood base. _gsrx_vers_827 GS 7.0.13 (827).
