Carved all around, very powerful and rich expression, unusual but superb! Excellent masterpiece by late Haida Nation Artist Darrell LeBlanc – These are very hard to find these days. The Quality is truly amazing. So much detail and yet simple, elegant and just – beautiful – cedar wood. Sorry, it’s a little dusty on the pictures – but it’s in great condition. Measurements: 15″ x 5″ x 3 1/2 (39 x 13 x 9 cm). The Artist: Darrell LeBlanc was a member of the Haida Nation. He had over 30years experience of carving. His sophisticated style can be seen in his wood and argillite carvings. As a member of the Haida Nation, his interest in art began at a young age. Darrell was mostly noted for his traditional yellow cedar rattles, totem poles and talking sticks. He has also produced a series of limited edition prints and today his pieces are highly sought after. Darrel passed away in 2014.
